The monograph "Educational Geodemography of Russia" comes out into the world

Modern University for the Humanities (MUH) published the monograph "Educational Geodemography of Russia" under the editorship of  Karpenko M.P., the president of MUH.

The monograph presents the results of the studies executed in MUH, problems of educational development in terms of geographic and demographic features of Russia.

The complex calculations results for the long-term dynamics of the number of students for all levels of education are presented to predict possible scenarios of Russian education development.

Principal possibility to provide training at the residence of almost any number of students in each point of any sparsely populated remote Russian region using information and communications educational technology is shown.

Statistical data analysis for many countries of the world proved that higher education significantly increases the quality of life - raises incomes of citizens, reduces the risk of unemployment, improves health and longevity.

It is shown that getting a higher education is one of the leading priorities in life quality evaluation for people aged 18-35, the most economically active population.

Based on this, criterion has been developed to assess the quality of life in regions of the country from the standpoint of this population.

Life quality evaluation was carried out in the regions of Russia and it is shown that it can be essentially raised with the development of distributed universities.

There has been evaluated the way of coexistence of distributed and traditional universities in the nearest future.

It's shown, that since nearly 2020 distributed universities will predominate.

Herewith the development of Russian higher education export through trans boundary method might lead us to the fact, that  higher education system will make  a contribution to GDP comparable in scale with oil export.

The book also presents the results of studies, that can be called "the conceptual look to the future" of Russian higher education.

There have been formulated three postulates of its development - "geographical", "the principle of continuous education" and "personal development".
It is shown that our country is in step with the modern progressive tendencies such as educational individualization through  personal educational environment development, a description of the environment, implemented in the distributed university - Modern University for the Humanities is given.

There are also presented the results of studies concerned with psychological peculiarities of "third" age people (more then 27 years old) teaching, whose continuous education is dictated by the needs of an innovative, knowledge-based economy.
